It is a good teachable moment for a team. Put your foot on their throat and don’t ever let them think they have a chance. With that said, the call lost them the game in the end regardless of what happened in the first 58 minutes

People talking about the plays that led to the no call and how that's the saints fault...makes me want to punch them in thier smug face. Will wade or whomever else

The way people talk about the way we played and should have put them away early is ridiculous. Didn't the Rams win their conference? Didn't the Rams get a first round bye? I mean people talk like they were 8-8 and barely got in the playoffs. Plus its hard as hell to beat a team twice in the same year. The Rams knew that and so did the NFL, causing such a cluster frick call.

Will Wade doesnt have a dog in the hunt. And his message to his own team is very accurate. You let the refs have a shot a f’ng you and this could happen. No problem with him using this as a teaching moment for his own team. That said, f the NFL and they screwed us over.

His is 100% correct.

TE didn't catch the ball in the end zone.

Interception in the redzone only 3 points

Brees skipped the ball the Thomas on what would of been game ending TD(play everyone is complaining they should of ran it) ON this play, Does anyone remember Miles at the end of the 2012 Bama game going for the field goal instead of trying to get the first down and ending them game!!! I applaud you Payton

Brees had the ball first in OT....FIRST!

He’s just trying to get a point across to his college players.

No sane person disagrees w Will Wade.

When he goes to the final four and gets hosed with 20 seconds left I bet he doesn’t brush it off

Yes, and everything the Saints did up to that point allowed them to run the clock down, kick a short field goal and win if not for gross incompetence by the refs.

His statement is true.glaring idiocy.

Does he mean they lost it on the no call on the other obvious PI by the same DB against Tef Ginn, JR on a 3rd and 7 which ended a drive.

This comment may come back to bite Wade on the arse if he ever loses a tourney game on a blown call.

While he is right inhis thinking in general the setting and circumstances do factor in.
1. The Rams are either 1 or two in the nfl standing. So it much more difficult to execute.
2. The Saints were decimated with injuries and were pretty much walking wounded in this game.
3. The saints did execute the last drive well until the refs decided to step in.

Will Wade is absolutely correct and that is great coaching but it’s too soon for a Saints fan to hear this message.

I really like Will Wade, but all I can say is frick you and keep your mouth shut on an issue that has most of your basketball fan base still hurting badly and passed off. The PI debacle lost the game.

4 of the Saints 5 interior offensive lineman were on the injury report. The starting tight end was out and the backup tight end was taken out by an uncalled helmet to helmet in the 1st quarter. This gave Brees substantially less time on EVERY play against the best DL in football. A wide receiver was out. All that and the Saints had put themselves in a position to win AT THE POINT that call was blown. Enough bullshite about the other plays.

His point is absolutely correct. I have said that you should never allow a game to be so close the refs can frick you (accidentally, or with intent).

However...

Any game, every game, at every point, is the sum total of everything that has occurred up until that point. Why the game was 20-20 when the no call occurred is irrelevant. The amount of time and the situation was what it was, and the outcome of that play cost the Saints the Super Bowl.

Certainly, had they put the Rams down 21-0 or 21-3 at half, the exact same play at the exact same time would not have mattered, but that's not how it works.

He's using it as a teaching tool. Nothing more. His comment doesn't change the fact that if the officials don't blow that call we would have won that game.
