Loved the NFL my whole life, but this really may be it for me.

I've loved the league for decades. When I was a kid, the players were my heroes and my Christmas presents were NFL items. I own League memorabilia and can quote stats from the 1970's. But if this country is at a point where a man's saying he believes people should respect the flag invokes ire to the point where others don't believe he's entitled to feel that way, and if that lunacy infects the sport, I don't think I'll enjoy it anymore.

Same, this is the world we live in. TBH Saints games haven't been as enjoyable in recent years anyways. Now they're letting personal feelings get in the way of a game.

Sounds like you were hardly a real fan if you allow politics to affect your rooting interests

bullshite. Wake up to what is going on in this country. This is far beyond politics. This is pure hatred and anarchy based on false narratives.

Josh, I strongly disagree. There are multi-millionaire human beings under those helmets, and when they -- not I -- drag this disrespect into what should be recreation, I cannot enjoy it.

This isn't the issue, the issue is actually how the players are letting politics affect their game. PERIOD.

frick politics

I don’t care about that.

But throwing your teammate, a great man, and the best thing to ever happen to this organization under the bus is not politics.

This version of the Saints is dead for me

As a Saints season ticket holder, I’ll say this. They’re paid a lot of money to ENTERTAIN us. I really don’t give AF what their feelings are towards social issues. But don’t let your bullshite drama effect my team.

Fantastic question: Why does politics have to be in sports? Why don't you ask the question to the players who have shoved politics into sports?

Hoss

From the black players perspective...

Do you think that’s easy for them to do, considering exactly what you just said about Brees’ stature?

Furthermore do you think it is easy to do considering he is a teammate and they have to share a locker room?

Your issue is with society and not the NFL.

Don't worry about the bullshite and what other people want you to think matters - believe in whatever your truth is.

Im done also. I know Its not going to hurt the NFL by me not watching but Im not going to sit and watch a football game and have to look at a bunch of political protests from the players. The Saints and NFL can kick rocks. Michael Thomas and Malcolm Jenkins will be the main protestors and Im not watching. Ill go fishing

It seemed really easy for the ones that turned on him. They did it in a matter of minutes with their thumbs on social media

Real men they are. Pussies. And don’t make it all the black teammates. Don’t groupnan entire group of men simply by their skin color lester. It’s a select few shite teammates

Jenkins’ well thought out message was not the same drivel michael Thomas was spewing, but in the end their frustrations stem from the same place

Judging how the last few months have gone, this taking place on Twitter is one of the least surprising things of 2020

Yes it is easy. They are all following this racist narrative like sheep. The player who it's not easy for is Davenport. Standing up for Brees and getting called an uncle Tom on social media.

Well those Multi millionaire athletes weren’t born that way. Most of them grew up in a life of poverty and were socially disenfranchised. You’re life has never been like theirs and you’ve never experienced the things they have. Learn some empathy and grow the frick up.

Agreed. Brees is the leader of this team - not Jenkins or MT. Jenkins needs to take his arse back to Philly. We don’t need him here.
