Loomis Is Staying

I read 2 different articles today stating that Mickey Loomis is stating on our our GM.
In one article, Mickey said he thinks that the Saints are "very close", and if it weren't for the injuries this year, we would be the team that you saw the 1st two weeks of the season. Its just bad luck.
The other article said that the Saints GM said they not looking at a rebuild and that Mickey Loomis, despite our salary cap situation being the worst in the NFL at $60 million over next years cap, knows how to handle it by pushing contracts out into the future, a practice most NFL teams do no subscribe to. It went on to say that Saints fans were not going to be happy that he appears to be the one trusted to guide us through and out of the Dennis Allen disaster............while we suffer on with the Mickey Loomis disaster.
I said it before, and I will continue to say it -
The Saints are a leaderless rudderless ship headed for the rocks.
The only solution is the stop supporting them until they make the necessary changes. Stop going to the games.

Only Benson has the power to save her team.
Only an idiot would think Loomis is doing a good job.

This is his opinion, which doesn't really mean anything in terms of whether he's gonna stay on.
Seven days ago you would've found many quotes from DA about how we just needed to execute better. That didn't save his job.

I know he's responsible for the horrific cap situation but is he also responsible for who we draft or was that more Dennis Allen? IIRC Jeff Ireland was the guy pulling the trigger in the 2017 draft that was so big

Agreed.
LOOMIS thinks he is staying. We’ll see no if that’s the case.

Lauscha and Loomis run everything that is Benson owned. They are not going anywhere.

Loomis should stay and work to get out from under the mess he created. No promising GM would walk into a job where they are essentially handcuffed for 2-3 years

I love these Loomis threads and the upvote/downvote trend.
Either Mickey himself is in here, or an assistant/family member is.
Every "good" post about him (on any thread) has 1 upvote, every "bad" post has a single downvote.
Its hilarious and obvious how everyone here agrees on these topics for the most part, except 1 person.

I read all that and heard a guy making excuses concerning why he should stay.

well he has to say this.
can't really own up to the roster being bad and thin without acknowledging your own failures

You mean he is not going to fire himself?
