I can see a scenario where he stays the VP, and Jeff Ireland is named GM. Moore is then given one more season as HC.

Yeah they may happen but would be another BAD decision.

I feel like we can hopefully do better than these fricking dinosaurs under Loomis. There are GMS as young as their mid 30s using modern analytics, algorithms, etc to find and value players.

Not saying we have to go to that extreme but Randy and Mickey are in their late 60s.

There is a lot of runway in between.

Doing better than Loomis is an impossible task.

Loomis is obviously very rich. He is hanging on out of sheer ego.

Let’s throw him a thank you parade and how much we appreciated the Superbowl.

Let no one speak an ill will word as he settles into the sunset.

Meh. I don’t want a dinosaur but also don’t want someone that young. Kellen is the youngest HC in the league and he sucks. Young and upcoming doesn’t equal good.

Find someone with a mix of both. All the contending teams in the league right now GM’s are in their 50’s.

Loomis will give himself a new title, promote from within and still run football.

I feel like he’s being groomed to take over, but not sure what truly will change underneath him. Khai is very much the numbers guy, but the scouting department will most likely remain intact as it has for the past 15 years. Mickey brought in guys he was comfortable with when he had to replace Pace and Fontenot.

Agreed, scouting department has been missing more often than hitting on evaluations

Yall overrate him.

No one has ever tried to hire him as their gm. He has gotten a few interviews and never got close

They need to redo the entire way of thinking.

I like what the jags did when they grabbed Gladstone from the rams and paired him with a great offensive coach like Liam Coen.

The saints need to follow suit.

What was so impressive with the Jags hire is Khan was largely bashed as well. He was pretty clueless in hiring older “football guys” like Baalke, Urb, Marronne, Pedersen, etc.

He was then willing to go completely against that history and bring in the young GM who had designed a lot of the algorithms for the Rams and Coen.

And all of the good ones were hired back in their 40s.

Roseman who is often considered the gold standard was 35/36 when he took over.
