They elevated each other. Sean was certainly better with an all time great QB.

He was usually pretty good…in the regular season.

Yes it’s hard to win the same percentage of games in the playoffs against the best that season.

Fun fact for you. Did you know that not a single NFL team has a higher playoff win percentage than regular season win percentage?
Also Payton is 22 out of 121 in playoff win percentage.

He’s the only reason the saints have ever had success. SP is proving he made Drew Brees. He has Bo fricking Nix looking better than Drew ever did

Sean wasn’t a good coach because he had Drew. He’s just a really good coach. He takes players talents and builds around them. He’s also great at scheming and game management. Give him a decent roster and he’ll win. That’s what good coaches do. He demands that players fulfill their responsibilities.

Dennis Allen looked unsure on Sunday (go for it?, FG?, challenge?, timeout?). Kellen Moore has that unsure look sometimes too (Rookie coach perhaps)…play calls, substitutions, red zone calls.

One Super Bowl appearance with Drew Brees as your QB for 12+ season is just okay as playoff coaching goes.
