So if we need to move on from Winston, what is our solution?

-Free agent qb market is terrible next year

-QB prospects are pretty shitty out of the draft.

- We have tons of veteran players, so far they haven't produced ,
-we’re in salary cap hell with a poor head coach .
-It’s gonna take a few years to return to a team that has a shot at a Super Bowl

Get a vet bandaid to get us thru next year. Best bet is ‘24 draft or FA

Id keep my eye on the Lamar Jackson situation. Chances are Winston will be our QB for another year. It also gives the Saints time to make some manovers. Jackson will probably be tagged at least 1 year as well.

We may be terrible for at least another year after this one and then load up enough draft capital and trade for Jackson.

A potential Sean Payton trade can give us some of that plus maybe moving some high priced players.

I think we’re in the “pay the piper years”. From 2006-2021, the Saints appeared in three NFC Championships, won an NFC Championship and the Super Bowl, and had many playoff runs with a lot of near misses. Some all time great teams led by a legendary QB and a coach who fit together perfectly well. For a franchise that has had as much misfortune as the Saints over the years, it was an incredible run.

Payton is gone. Brees is gone. The glory days are over. The team has to find a new identity. The defense is strong and well coached. The offense needs a lot of work. Is Dennis Allen the right answer at HC? I’m with the group that believes you should hire an offensive mind at HC. That’s been the trend over the past few years for successful head coaches (Reid, McVay), but I’m rooting for Dennis Allen to have success.

There is only so much a head coach can do.

Some of these veteran players need to step up the leadership and take more charge.

Maybe that is happening cause there is a ton we don't see on practice field or off the field.

But i don't get that sense from watching this team so far this season.

We are pretty much stuck until 2024. Depending on what they do next offseason, we could be stuck even longer than that.

As of today, we have negative cap space next offseason and pretty much none in 2024. Most of our really core players are signed through that period, but a few aren't, such as Davenport. Probably gonna have to make a few decisions there.

Because we don't have a 1st next year, unless we move a player or Sean Payton for a 1st, we are pretty much stuck with Winston. We can't afford to cut him and sign someone else.

Sure fire way to lose a QB for bmore next year. He will be the highest paid qb next year for the crows.

WTF would Baltimore get rid of him? He's 43-19 as a starter.

Dennis Allen hire was bad. It’s a offense driven league. Need a fresh start

Who knows... shite happens. What i do know is they've already gone back and forth negotiating and he's already broken off contract talks as far as this season.

They've already offered i think like 280 million and he's turned it down. Not out of realm of possibility one of these teams says "we arent giving these highest paid contracts" and rebuild.

All i know is after these first few games is nothing else matters if you dont have a QB. If NO can find the right combo of draft picks and players that satisfy what Baltimore wants than you do it

Which is exactly why Baltimore won't get rid of him. The Saints can't afford him and don't have the draft capital to get him anyway. Besides if you have a stud at QB you don't get rid of him. Baltimore isn't Detroit.

Get rid of cocksuckers and people who are cucks, cowards and watch their wives have sex with others. Pope apologist, rapist, loomis, Gayle and most yankees. Then draft Hof'ers and never let good players leave.

Boom! We win it all

I think the NFL overall is going into an era of average QB play ....probably beginning in 2 years as both Rodgers and Brady retire. Maybe Jared Allen and Mahomet become the benchmarks, but across the league you are seeing average QBs

As long as Loomis is GM, we’ll never succeed.

He’s a joke.

What are the chances of having a Hall of Fame QB fall into our lap AGAIN?

Gonna have to suck for a year to get into position to draft a dude the year after next. Maybe you’re looking for a new coach too and you can get a new guy who picks his QB and builds around him.
