Lil'Jordan Humphrey caught every pass throw to him and 3 where about the prettiest passes thrown in preseason. Butler had one bounce off his face mask and dropped one right in his hands. There are those who practice well and those who Ball.

Both

Bree’s will utilize both because they are perfect for his arm’s abilities

I'd keep Butler & try to improve his hands.

One of those drops was just concentration. Tried to run first. Didn’t see the other one.

Butler... Jordan doesn't have the quickness to get separation from the defender off his routes... he makes big plays, but it only comes in the slot... plus, it will be easier to possibly stash him on the PS, where we'd have no chance of keeping Butler there....

as far as Butler, he needs to be more consistent with his hands, and learn to secure the catch first, above anything else.... and he needs to discern when to catch with your hands vs. with the body.... the potential is there, and it's obvious, but this is a whole 'nother level he's about to be playing at, and there ain't no time for those questionable drops...

Yea, I think Lil'Jordan would have some trouble getting separation against starting CB's. Butler can get open against starters imo. That's not Butler's problem.

Butler also runs pretty good routes.

Lil'Jordan reminds me of Treadwell. Has everything else, but the speed isn't fast enough to get enough separation unfortunately.

Lil seemed to get all of his yardage on deep seam routes. That's Brees's favorite pass.

You keep the one that practices well. Humphrey has been a complete bum in practice.

I will say that Humphrey and cook over the middle could be a nightmare to try and defend with Ginn stretching and MT doing his thing.

Both deserve a spot but Butler is the clear choice if you had to choose. He’s got that “it” factor about him as a player. Lil’ Jordan is a gamer. He can look slow and lethargic at times but when the lights come on for a game he’s ready to go.

Butlers hands show up on tape. Natural hands catcher. See the TD. Hasn’t dropped anything in practice either

If every receiver who drops a pass didn’t make the team we’d have to cut Ginn and kirkwood and dan Arnold

Hands always, body NEVER. Should not let the ball get to the body, you snatch the ball out of the air with your hands. And never let it bounce off your face mask

Dan can do the hook and lateral better than anybody on the team.
