Let’s say Drew can throw the ball 50 yards now. Do you take him over Winston w/ our WR’s

For one year only. Just to see if he can make some last magic with our new weapons and mai ly our top 5 defense. In 2020 he was noted to be throwing about 57-58 yards. He had a shoulder injury the year before also but let’s say he’s 7 yards weaker now. I’d honestly have to think about it. No question he could get Thomas, Landry, Taysom and Kamara what they need to succeed but he wouldn’t be able to air it out 70 yards to Olave, Callaway or Harris like Jameis. For one last year I would take Drew just because he’s Drew Brees and he has 2 WR custom tailored to his stroke of play and a RB who gels very well with him. This is all bullshite though, I’d say theirs a 5% chance at best he actually plays and 2.5% of that being he’d play for the Saints and not another team.

No, everyone has moved on. At this point it would be a big a-hole move. Didnt care for it when Brett and Brady did it and wouldnt like Drew doing it.

We need to find out if Winston has a future. Not for Drew to hang on to whats left

Did Drew find a way-back machine? He still had hair the last time he threw a ball 50yds!

I also feel a certain kind of way about last year. He had a chance to really help us out in a bind. He didnt and i get that but to come back when the team is better is horseshite to me.

Maybe he was still recovering from shoulder surgery.

I would take him over Winston. He’s had a lot of recovery time and probably healthier than he’s been in the last 2 years of his career. Personally I don’t like Winston but he will probably get the saints in the playoffs.

If you’re saying if he can throw 50 yards and still have the accuracy like he always has you’re essentially saying he’s in his prime. So yes.

At this point Drew has moved on. Or, as Jacob Blake would say, “…smells like you’ve been with other men.”

So, no, let’s ride with Jameis.

Don't worry, Drew's done. He knows it. I don't think his ego is a 10th the size of Brady's. Knowing him, he's mad about the broadcasting set-back and will be out to prove NBC exec wrong!

Why not? For all of you ready to move on, how many other teams do you think would be falling over to sign him for a season or 2? Especially if he could show that he could still be accurate

Nope, Drew is done. Jameis is the better QB at this point.

I feel like drew decided his saints fate when he didn’t want to come back and help us after Winston went down last year.

He by no means was obligated to come back, I just think that was the point where the player and organization were officially officially done with each other.

We need to see what Jameis can do.

He has more hair now than he did 10 years ago.

It looks a little funky, but it's there.

If he is 2018 Drew, absolutely. But how can you know that? So I guess on a team friendly deal with the understanding that he is not a guaranteed starter, probably.

I'm conflicted due to gratefulness for what he brought to us diehard Saints fans and a desire to move forward and start a new winning era.
