We also still have #12 as well as #2
We also aquired pick #32.
Also a very early pick next year.
We have plenty ammo to move up a bit from 12 if needed.

What's your draft stategy? Who you want at 2? Assume Wentz went 1.

You've certainly included plenty of factors. I've gone cross eyed

(We traded drew to Browns and we draft loaded) how you want to strategize this draft now?

Goff at 2? Someone else w 12 pick, go other prospect w 2 and trade up or sit at 12 for qb?

This is a bazaar hypothetical.

#2 - Ramsey (best player in the draft.)
#12 - Lawson (More defensive help)
Trade 32 and and a 2nd next year to move into high teens, take Lynch.

Waiting on lynch in teens would be very risky.
I honestly don't see why teams don't have lynch more in mix of no. 1 or 2 discussions

Let's pretend the Saints have every pick in the first round. How does this affect our strategy?

#2 trade down - 4-6 take best DE on board Bosa/Buckner
#12 take Rankins/Butler
#32 Whitehair
#47 Boyd/Doctson/Tread or Cravens
#78 Westerman/Garnett
#112 Rashard Robinson
#152 Charone Peake
#237 best kicker available

I was building this for Drew...Then Chad trades him to Cleveland

Because as I said in the other thread, he's going to need to be eased in to reach his full potential. I don't think he's ready to immediately take over a team. Teams picking in the top 5 usually don't have that luxury.

Also I submitted my post before I saw that Brees was traded in this scenario. That changes things for me a tad. Might lean towards a scenario where we take Goff at 2 then trade 12 and 32 to get to the 4/5 range, then take Bosa, Ramsey or Jack(pending medical)

I will keep my draft. Luke will carry us back to a top 8 pick plus we will have my 2016 trade down picks added to the 17 class as well.

Nail the 16 draft and get our QB in 17.

Follow the Steeler template. Build then plug him in.

I'd take Buckner at pick #2. Do we have have Brees? If so, take Lawson, Rankins, Conklin, or BPA at #12. If no Brees, then take Lynch or Goeff. At #32 you take Ogbah, Doctson or Boyd.

Then I hand it off to my VP of personnel because I'm going home to have sex with Natalie Portman. Because I'm also having sex with Natalie Portman in this scenario.

#2 - Deforrest Buckner
#12 - trade down for multiple picks including a later first rounder (Texans likely candidate so they can move ahead of Jets). I'd take Treadwell with the new lower 1st round pick. I would not draft him at 12.

With the extra picks we would afford ourselves the chance to gamble a bit more and I might take Robert Nk....

I also like the idea of taking Vadal Alexander in the 3rd round if he is available.

That's all I got.
