Outside of #9, that's like being the tallest midget.

Six pages of Jason David bashing and not one mention of DeVante Harris or Johnny Patrick?? At least Jason David made a good play or two in his career, we would have done just as fine running out ten players on defense rather than those other two guys.

He scored our only TD in that 2007 opener vs Indy. I thought he was about to be the best FA pickup ever and shine for us for years after that play

Earl Campbell. Most dominant overpowering backs in my life time.
Was a shell of himself here. Bum ran him to death at Houston.
I remember him breaking a decent run then slowing to a trot then fumbling. Rather embarrassing for a HOF.

He was definitely the second best Saints QB of 2002.

I’m gonna go with Gary Gibbs.
The 7-9 and 8-8 seasons in 07’ and 08’ were maddening for me.
Those defenses were just so flat. Super cautious and without any playmaking or attitude.

Gave this one some more thought, and it really begins and ends with Aaron Brooks.

I was there when Blake got hurt in 2000. Really thought Billy Joe Tolliver would have been a better replacement.

The Saints lost that game, then upset the Rams in a game that made people warm up to Brooks a bit (even though he threw two picks). Then they got blown out by the Broncos at home... I sat through that stinker, too.

Brooks went 3-3 overall to get the Saints into the playoffs, and then Az Hakim gave him a gift.

I really struggle to remember the "golden age" of Aaron Brooks. Was it 2000? LMAO.

Was it 2001, when he was the anointed starter from day 1, and gave us 7-9? That season ended with 4 losses, the last of them a 38-0 blowout home loss where Brooks threw 4 picks.

Was it 2002, when he threw 22 interceptions and ended the season with 3 losses to terrible teams, while we screamed for Delhomme? That was a damned good team until Brooks got hurt (or something...) and wouldn't take a seat.

By 2002, we'd all seen Delhomme play and *knew* he was better than Brooks. Haslett should already have known in 2000.

Blake should have taken back over for 2001, at the very latest. But Brooks was always Haslett's guy... and that's exactly what we got. A bad coach's bad QB.

Anyone who gives Brooks credit for much of anything is reading books. They didn't live it.

Frick Aaron Brooks. He's a loser.

Before Dak...Aaron was the king of this throw

if we were fortunate to still be in the game for a 2 minute drive and needed Aaron to drive us...you knew more times than not how that drive was going to end. No one loved throwing to nobody but a crowd of the wrong jerseys more to end a game.

then walk off the field like he won the SB

Russell Erxleben, he was VERY unexpectedly drafted in the first round (eleventh pick overall) in 1979 by our beloved Saints. Probably the most un-athletic FB player I have ever seen. Believe he is now serving his second prison term for some type of securities/investment fraud. Serenity Now!
