I think my answer will always be Aaron Brooks

Yeah frick the guy who brought home the Saints first ever playoff victory without Ricky Williams and Joe Horn.

i get it, his smile and clap thing towards the end was bad but he did what no other starting QB for the Saints ever did.

lead the team to the 1st ever playoff win with a depleted depth chart.

but yeah frick him

ok

Aaron Brooks threw more passes backwards when he was setting up to throw then any NFL qb in my lifetime. Dude was garbage.

I was at that game. It was fun, and so was the way the Saints smacked the Rams around during that era.

That said, Aaron Brooks should never have taken a snap in the NFL. I said that when he took the field in 2000 while Delhomme sat on the bench.

Now that the story has been finished, we know Delhomme is a Pro Bowl QB who took his team to a Super Bowl. Jeff Blake is another Pro Bowl QB who watched that mental midget start games from the bench.

Ken Stabler

Bum dumped Archie for him and he was a washed up drunk who cost us a playoff berth in 1983.

I think he was throwing games for the gamblers, too.

Cooks - Didn't like him when we drafted him, wanted a defensive player. Then during his career with us he was scared to catch the ball over the middle and then his poor attitude when he wouldn't recieve the most targets every game.
Fleener - Could never count on him making a 3rd down catch to move the chains.
Browner - Worse DB I have ever seen play the game.

I don't recall the year, but I remember when the Saint, with Stabler, were playing the Cowboys. The Saints were comfortably ahead in the fourth quarter and ended up losing the game due to some questionable decisions by Ken.

I believe it was 1984.

Sunday night game...Saints led 27-6 in the 4th quarter, lost 30-27 in OT. I have no doubt in my mind Snake threw that game.

Al Davis' comments on that issue are pretty interesting, in a "wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more" kind of way:

"In an interview last night, Mr. Davis resisted characterizing Mr. Stabler's activities while a member of the Raiders. 'I would not deny to you that there was an association,' he said. 'You understand? I would not deny to you that I was concerned about it. I would not deny to you that I talked about it several times. I would not deny to you that I heard several of our people contact the league office .... and alert them to things.'"
