How would any team that has cap space not want Latt for a 3rd? He is a top 10 corner, 28 years old, with 2 years left on his deal after this one.

Because buyers have the leverage…..we need to move him more for cap reasons and he is injury prone.

Wait it out and we’ll settle for the 4th with incentives or a pick swap.

I get it but it pisses me off that wed let a top 5 CB go for a 3rd that we will use to draft someone like Isiah Foskey or somebody who will never amount to anything.

There is no other viable option. You’re not getting much for a 30 year old non qb. A three would be huge.

I doubt that we would get a 3rd, probably more like a 4th is more realistic.

So you are saying the Saints could draft a player better than Lattimore in the 3rd and someone better than Young in the 6th?

No, and probably 50/50 in the first, top 5 corners don’t grow on trees. We will suck the next 2-3 years, you need all the cheap contracts you can get for the rebuild.

We have drafted really well with our secondary picks.

Do we rebuild or continue what we have done the last 3 years?

It seems like a Loomis special here would be trading him for 2nd (with some protections) and send back a 4th.

So like if Latt doesn't play in at least 6 of the remaining games it becomes a 3rd and we don't send anything

Yeah ok

I can tell we have a lot of young people that have never been through a rebuild

I hope that he goes to an AFC team bc I love the way that Ian Eagle screams "Marshawn LAATTimoooore".

We don't get to hear it enough IMO.

Washington makes a ton of sense.

We get: 2nd

They get: Latt and 4th

Reading dead cap for 2025 would be over $31M if he is traded today. That can’t be correct right?

Any chance it's a player for player trade? Not sure if Washington or KC have a surplus in oline or dline that we could use

We have to pay his cap anyway so personally I wouldn't do it for less than a 2, or maybe a 3 + a 5/6

The guy who drafted well in the secondary just got fired. No guarantees now. We also passed on Brian Branch who is an all pro already.

We are seeking a 2025 day 2 draft pick for Lattimore according to Jordan Shultz.

Will we get that? Idk
