Landry deal is 1 year worth up to 6 million

Assuming that means there are some incentives to get there. Pretty team friendly deal in my opinion.

For Jarvis Landry and the #Saints , it’s expected to be a one-year deal worth up to $6 million. A chance to go home, show he’s healthy and get back to the market next March, when Landry will be 30. @NFLTotalAccess

I’ve been anti Landry up until this. He was asking for 20!a year. For a locker room, WR3/4, this is very good.

Very nice deal. I like it and he will play hard. Great hands, tough, and will be playing for a bigger payday. Can't argue with that.

Wow what a steal. We’re killing the off-season

We still can sign Kwon for 2 mil and ObJ for 2 mil

Retards should have locked him up for 4 years at that price.

Looks like Loomis is doing fine without Payton? Love it so far.

Agree. I was anti Landry but this price changes my mind.
Still don’t like he’s going to hurt Olave development but this is too good of a price for a good player

I don't have a clue at what you are driving at but Olave can play the slot (because he has great burst speed) or you can put him on the outside which allows you to vary the routes and to have all 3 on the field at the same time while taking advantage of their strengths. If anything the offense and Olave will hugely benefit from this.

Landry will probably eat into Olave's production, but he'll probably help Olave's development.
I'm sure Landry will teach him a lot.

Now we just need OBJ to sign a cheap deal to come along for another SB run with his boys and his home state

Ehh I just think as a WR2 that he would have caught 60-70 balls.
As WR3 I think he’ll be lucky to get 40 catches this year (barring injuries etc.). That’s not great for his development imo or a ROI on all the assets we traded to get him.
Burning years worth of draft capital I’d hope our guy would be more involved, but being behind the run game, and the in the receiving game behind MT, AK, and Landry - he’s like 5th choice in the offense... Not a great position for everything we gave up for him

This is almost exactly what I thought he was worth...but I thought I was very much below what he was going to get.
This signing makes sense.

Excellent deal. Can't wait to see his cap #. Hopefully, it's like 4 mil.
We would still have around 6-7 mil left to spend.

Would love to see us add either a RB or DT.
I would prefer Hicks just because I have some faith in Abram Smith vs some of the other options available
