I was one that thought johnson was going to take that next step.

2 years in a row with time consuming injuries.

As the year progressed it looked like Johnson got more comfortable with Carr.

Saints will probably draft a te next yr(3rd or 4th round)

What is a 'good amount of time"?
We have a good amount of time before the season starts.
Injurieswere his problem last year.

I hate guys like him that never play. It's worse than being a bust bc it forces the teams hand in negative ways

Based on his On FIELD 'performance'....this not much of a loss. Hopefully Kubiak will find the right TE 'pieces' to actually make a positive out of a former BIG negative !

1,074 yards, and 15 TDs over the last 4 years. His one good season was in 2022. He is definitely not living up to the hype.

Yep. The loss sucks as the room sucks, other than that it's meh.

It’s basically a 12 week injury. So he may not be ready for game 1 but by game 4 we should have him but it’s not like he was a huge part of the offense anyway. If it were anything more than a 3 month recovery you’d be talking starting him on IR and looking for a vet to sign.
