my point was more about not knowing if someone was still on the team
my point stands about how PS players get paid when they are by the week and are cut at crazy different days. is it just who's on roster on gamedays or do they prorate weeks pay and stuff.

I'd assume their pay gets prorated. I doubt the NFLPA would allow that shady practice happen.

Practice squad players get paid for days in practice squad, but I do not believe they are vested.

I was really hoping Scott would be kept on da practice squad as well as Stupac both we thought deserved another chance.

Teddy Bridgewater is probably stoked to swipe his #5 jersey, I saw they still don't have his # on the roster.

They are probably gonna JT Gray the number 5 jersey, because it represents the number of draft picks we cut to keep him on the squad. Bridgewater will probably have to settle for a 4XL sized jersey with the number Double Zero, complete with a 2016 style collar.

Gray gets what Gray wants.

how does it work for Rick Leonard...since we cut him and signed him to PS, are we no longer on the hook for his 3 year draft contract?

Correct. His PS contract is for 1 year, $129,200. LINK

As GMoney said, it's now a one year deal, but we are still on the hook for whatever signing bonus he had from the original contract.
For 4th rounders I think it's around $100k over four years (not each year), but it accelerates to next year's cap (minus this year's portion).
After this year, if no one claims him off our PS to their 53, he becomes an exclusive rights free agent eligible only for minimum pay each of the next two years, and then becomes a restricted free agent his third year.

That is the PS minimum. Teams are allowed to pay PS players up to the rookie minimum if they choose
Posted on 9/8/18 at 9:51 am to SpeckTigerLure
They don't though, unless another team is trying to poach the player and the player agrees to stay if you match minimum, like what happened with Tom last year.
It happens to less than one player a year league wide. It's rare.
