Practice squad players get paid for days in practice squad, but I do not believe they are vested.

I was really hoping Scott would be kept on da practice squad as well as Stupac both we thought deserved another chance.

how does it work for Rick Leonard...since we cut him and signed him to PS, are we no longer on the hook for his 3 year draft contract?

As GMoney said, it's now a one year deal, but we are still on the hook for whatever signing bonus he had from the original contract.

For 4th rounders I think it's around $100k over four years (not each year), but it accelerates to next year's cap (minus this year's portion).

After this year, if no one claims him off our PS to their 53, he becomes an exclusive rights free agent eligible only for minimum pay each of the next two years, and then becomes a restricted free agent his third year.

They don't though, unless another team is trying to poach the player and the player agrees to stay if you match minimum, like what happened with Tom last year.

It happens to less than one player a year league wide. It's rare.
