I can understand Barrett, but why not Bridgewater? And if not Bridgewater, then who? Rookies are always a crap shoot and to get one of the top picks means you either have to suck hard the season before OR mortgage your draft to get to the top.

I'm ok with cutting Barrett. I don't think he'll ever develop into a legit backup QB. If one of our QB's get injured...we can easily sign a F.A. QB (of similar talent) to pick up some of the reps in practice. Barrett might still be available if we need to add a QB as well.

There used to be a time when a team set their roster / practice squad, and unless there was an injury or someone got cut or someone got traded, that was pretty much it.
The Saints make roster moves on a daily basis. I can't keep up.
I don't follow the transaction list of the other 31 teams... is this daily roster manipulation something all the other teams are doing now as well?

yeah, JT Barrett isn't packing up, it might be a revolving door in and out several times throughout year. We had his arm during most of week practices.

Good point.
JT sits in on team meetings on Monday, off Tuesday, Scout Team QB on Wed and Thurs, and gets cut Friday morning, and likely resigned on Mon to practice squad.
Rinse, repeat.

You also have to wonder if this starts to mess with these players ability to get vested seasons. Not sure how all of that works.

May be back once we promote a RB. I cannot imagine the plan is to have 3 RBs on the practice squad. I would guess Williams gets promoted soon.
