Chad, if the Saints know Tyson isn't going to return this year, should they release that information now?
If they know it will be week 12 or later, should they release that information?
If they know it will be week 10 or later, should they release that?
If they don't know that, and think there's a chance he could return to practice after the bye, should they release that?

this is what happens when you can't do the very basics like communicate the status of your #1 pick. Every aspect of the organization begins to be questioned. Even the owner publicly questioned it. Mickey himself answered questions about it today.
It's a lot smarter to be able to communicate a clear vision and plan you are implementing while directly addressing the challenges it faces along the way.

you continue to say a lot of words that is dumb arse shite. Being encouraged and improving at this time is all you're going to get. There is zero reason for them to commit to you a timetable that is just a guess or an estimate for no reason just to satisfy some weird fan craving like they deserve to know something. Then its just another excuse for you to whine. You got info and update yet still whining.

Kellen Moore directly addressed it and confirmed he was out for the year after it happened.

Moore directly addressed it, called him week to week, gave daily updates on his status and of course the team did in its participation reports and injury reports.
What's your question regarding this?

You are so angry.

That's what I'm complaining about.

A timeline doesn't guarantee a return...it never has. It's pretty much sets a minimum amount of time it's going to take so that fans, reporters, etc. understand what to expect. That happens all of the time. Look around the league.

Yeah, it's weird for a Saints fan hoping the season doesn't get away from them to want to know when they can get their first round pick back. What a weird notion.

What info? We were given no real info that answers the underlying question. You admit this, right? You admit that we have no idea when Tyson will return, right? You admit the info release today doesn't answer that right?

We will be lucky if we get that at this point

Correct.
To get half a season, he'd have to play by week 9. (9 of 17) And, of course he'd have to stay healthy after that.)
There's a 21 day practice window the Saints can use once they are ready. Maybe we don't use the entire 21 day window? That seems unlikely for a guy they are treating gently.
If we don't open his practice window immediately after the bye, I think 50% is probably off the table.

What a swing and a miss, great another player made of glass

It would not surprise me if he doesn’t play this year. By the time he returns it’ll probably be too late to help this year anyway.

If so he better not wait on needed surgery like so many others lol

Never liked drafting this guy in the first place with all his injuries
Posted on 10/21/26 at 8:56 pm to 1BamaRTR
His talent is undeniable.
But where I get hazy is how was he the absolute CONSENUS pick at #8?
Given his injury history and then wouldn't you know it he won't hit the field until November, like everyone in the war room shook their heads yes and no one had any sort of push back due to his injury history?
I hope it pays off but I don't trust that it will.

The NFL trade deadline for 2026 is Nov. 10, 2026.
He could still help the team.

I'm sure there were opposite opinions just like here but they were not the top people. He is a #1 recv like you said but can they fix the hammy
