Brees' deal wasn't brokered until the 11th hour. Wouldn't expect any differently here.

Jimmy is leading the league in total receiving. What if his agent tries to get him paid as a WR and demands Calvin Johnson money?

Gotta get rid of harper and Ingram first.

This is one of the main reasons it'll take so long. Not that I begrudge him or his agent for doing it. He's worth it.

Jimmy said two weeks ago that he's not working on a deal until after the season. He said he comes from money and is not really concerned about his contract right now.

Open your ears you nervous fricks.

Wasn't he raised by a foster parent in a trailer home?

I'm thinking this too. The fact that he's playing wide often will give them leverage to get WR money rather than TE, but regardless.. this is going to cost us.

He did. And he didn't come from money. Maybe that guy got him confused with Oher. He did say he wasn't worried because he gets paid every two weeks.

The first offer to Jimmy has been made and rejected, slightly less than Gronks deal. It will be a work in progress but the Saints will never let him go

I would argue that Jimmy is in fact the best WR in the league. Name another wide receiver outside of Johnson that is more consistent. And while both will kill you, I think as a DC I'd rather have to deal with Calvin than Jimmy.

Maybe Brees will restructure and make room to pay Jimmy?

Imagine the numbers he would have playing in Jacksonville or Houston?

I dont think hes going anywhere as long as Drew is here.

He ain't going anywhere. He already said he wants to retire when Brees does. He understands how he fits in with this offense so well
