It’s fine if you disagree. I think it would be worth exploring for the Raiders bc there are few experienced QBs that can be acquired at this point in the year. If you go w Brian Hoyer as your QB then you are telling your team that you’re not trying to win before the season even starts. Morale matters. Players are playing for their next contract and you give them 38 yr old Hoyer to show their talents. Players will be ticked. McDaniels may not think Winston can work for his offense but what options does he have. Rumors are Raiders are already considering trading Renfrow.
For the Saints, they get value for a backup who is leaving after next year no matter what. If Carr goes down, then the season is over anyway.
For Winston, he gets another crack at a starting gig. Show something and who knows where it leads.

Nobody fricking wants Jameis Winston. (except for several people -names withheld- on this board who really thought Jameis was the guy post-Drew)

He’s probably got a top 5 worst contract in the league.

Seems smart. No way in hell he was playing over Pickett. Plus that is the toughest division in football.

Carr could theoretically get benched if he plays as bad as he did last season and the NFC South is the easiest division in football.
