Yes......top 3 pick, new head coach, new OC, and possibility of a young franchise QB whether it be JD5 or Caleb Williams. Sounds great to me.

If the Saints aren’t thinking of a way To draft Daniels and let him play one year behind Carr They’re stupid

I can’t see a realistic way for the Saints to guarantee a pick for Daniels.

Daniels will be draft early. Carr will be here for 3 more yrs. Saints need start rebuilding the line on both sides.

I promise you Carr will have absolutely nothing to do with this franchise come 2026 outside of being remembered as one of their most disappointing free agents ever that they hyped up as a savior to the casuals.

The saints don’t draft QBs high which is why we don’t ever have a chance of developing a young one.

He's a completely different quarterback from last year. He couldn't get past his first or second progression...he would just run. He also couldn't throw the deep ball. He's progressed leaps and bounds this year and is mostly dropping dimes. And he can run like a deer on speed
He was still struggling SOME with getting through his progression early in the season. His numbers were still good…..but if you know what you’re looking at, it was obvious.
I have NEVER seen a QB, with that much experience, improve that much during the season. Especially the way he improved, and now trusting his guys to make plays for him. It’s unbelievably impressive

Jayden Daniels would be good until he turns into RGIII because he doesn't slide

LSU fans on here with the logo by their name are the worst on this site.
Stay on the rant with that nonsense!!!!

Jayden is the better QB in the state right now so that would be great to have him!

Daniels will be turned inside out on his first big hit.

He should be available in rounds 4-6.

This should be the case, but never bet against Mickey finding a way to hold onto players so he can keep kicking the can down the road.

Are the people that are “the casuals” suppose to be offended here?
Are you claiming to be a professional? Or simply that to be a fan you need to devote all of your energy thinking/studying about the Saints/NFL?

Its funny how many posters are like "he can't read progressions" or "he's better at going through his progressions". How could any of us possibly know this? Because he moves his head on passing plays? Fact is none of us have any idea what his progressions are and if he is actually doing it. Unless you are on the LSU staff, then by all means....

I love daniels' toughness but in the NFL he is gonna have to learn to slide.

Which won't be a factor in the NFL for long because it's not sustainable. He'll get killed running in the NFL the way he does in college.

Not trying to lower expectations, but Daniels is ripping off run against teams with maybe 2 players that run 4.5 40's. In the NFL, that's an average DB. Those runs don't happen against 6-7 players as fast as he is.
He is going to have to improve speed of reads and deep ball accuracy (lots of underthrows) in the passing game. Can he? Who knows. 31 teams didn't think Purdy would, and at the time most thought his now backup Darnold was a sure thing. The difference is just a tenth of a second between reads, but most can't make that adjustment.

Pro scouts have him rated as the #9 QB in next years draft
There’s no guarantees in the draft
Except for spayton blowing the Mahommes pick
If many teams pass on him he could drop and be a steal in the draft
