.

NFL network says it's still contingent on Reggie restructuring his contract. Also Reggie can still choose to stay with the Saints for the amount we are offering.

Yea, because they're never wrong

But if he is gone, then thanks Reggie for contributing to the beginning of the Saints' Golden Years and first Superbowl. Contrary to popular belief, you were a pretty good player even if you weren't Barry Sanders.

Can't be much for him. For A guy teams knew we had to restructure or cut, the market seems not great.

Maybe something with an escalator clause?

That would be pretty neat of him.

If not, Nnamdi Asomugha here we come!

They didn't give any info if any has been released. Just said that both teams have agreed to terms on a trade. Reggie's agent is trying to work out a contract tonight and Reggie is going to sleep on it and decide if he will take the deal or return to the Saints for a reduced price.

If this comes to pass, I won't be too happy about it but understand the business need to unload that salary. Also, definitely better that it's Miami than Tampa. I still hope to see him restructure to stay in NOLA though.

RT @JeffDarlington: GM Jeff Ireland spent much of night working on Bush trade, but has chosen to sleep on terms & make decision in morning.

As well as financial hell in a couple of years

Big contracts to Drew, Colston, Nicks, Evans, Tracy Porter (maybe), Lance Moore, Will Smith, Sedrick Ellis, and maybe Cam and Ingram

I know your joking though, hopefully

Sounds like Dolphins having second thoughts on pulling trigger.

I just said the same thing to some friends in an email chain we have.

Reggie wasn't the single reason for our success but he played an important role. A dangerous player from three different positions is always helpful. Though it seemed 90% of the time he touched the ball I was disappointed in what he did. But the threat was still there.

This was my point earlier. He had wildly unrealistic expectations coming in that were likely never going to be reached. I'm a fan of his and don't really get the hate. He's been injury prone, but perhaps he'll get that worked out. If he wants to stay at an affordable salary, then I'm all for that...rather have him with me than against me. If not, then I wish him well...just not against the Saints.

I've never seen a name be so misspelled for so long that wasn't Kaesviharn or something of the like.

And that was the important part of it. He was taking a LBer and more often than not a safety with him. Basically, he was a $60 million dollar decoy.
