Neither is Christian Kirk, yet here we are

I will say, based on some of these contracts that are flying around, he has every right to demand $20M a year right now. However, he also has to be ready to face the consequences that he could be out of a job until after the draft; then sign a 1 year deal for a few million just to make sure he plays next year.
