Jameis Winston has only led a team to a winning record once in his NFL career

You could argue he was on his way to doing it twice, but the best he has ever done is 9-7, which seems like the ceiling of this team right now.
2015 - 6-10
2016 - 9-7
2017 - 5-11
2018 - 5-11
2019 - 7-9

We are only 3 games into the season. Is this board going to be this insufferable all season long?

Of course, you’ve been around long enough to know that. ST has taken on the identity of the Rant at this point.
We could win 14 in a row from here and they’d still be complaining

Well, that's 1 more than winning seasons for Dennis Allen, and teams where Carmichael was fully in charge of the offense
It's so easy to bash Winston, hell he'd probably agree a lot is deserved, but too many people are putting everything just on him and letting the coaching staff slide. Yet, every expert that you listen to will throw out stats to show how predictable the offense is. If the defense knows what's coming, not many QBs stand a chance. Especially one with limitations and is struggling mentally and physically.

Let's see:
It's OK to crucify the Coaches who don't make nearly as much as our QB....
It's OK to crucify the Linemen who don't make nearly as uch as our QB....
It's OK to crucify our GM......
It's OK to crucify the fans who pay our underperforming QB's salary....
BUT DON'T YOU DARE CALL OUT THE GUY WHO IS A TURNOVER MACHINE!!!!!!

At the rate we are going so far this season wouldn't it be justified?

Yeah but he had back injuries and bad OL his whole career. Cut him some slack.

Most on this board didn't want the coaches after they were promoted.
Lineman like pete who most here are constantly bitching about?
The only bitching about Loomis I've seen is his undying loyalty to Payton and thinking we are going to get screwed in a Payton trade when he returns to coaching.
You mean the fans that spend all day while watching the game posting complaining threads about him? So how much of those millions are you paying sitting in your recliner with a beer watching the game on TV?
Or does he get a cut out of your alcohol and food purchases you make during the game? Is he getting royalty checks from your cable company?
Little Caesars sponsoring the dome pays more of his salary than you or I

Are you blindly expecting something different to happen?
Jameis is Not the answer.

Did we cut Drew any slack? When he had injuries, no pro bowl receivers until late in his career with Michael Thomas? — I feel like he was called out when he had bad games. — that being said Drew didn’t have too many bad games especially in regular season — Also led league in TDs 4x in his career, Yards 7x in his career, multiple 5k yard seasons and multiple seasons leading league in completion % not to mention many other records….
Jameis has more talent at receiver right now than Drew may have ever had realistically…
Unless something clicks he might not be the guy is all I’m saying…

Are we talking under contract? If so yes Jameis has more but that number one reciever finds a way to sit on the bench or make his way to the medical tent.
Not knocking Thomas ability when he plays but his desire to play

May want to change your argument as to why Winston is the only one that should be receiving criticism. Winston has a salary of $1.2M (13th highest on team) in 2022, and a cap hit of $4M (11th highest on team), not including the dead money guys.
Haven't seen anything confirming what Allen gets paid, but what I have seen is it's speculated to be around $4M and Vrabel is the lowest paid at $3M. No details about OC pay, but average coordinator is around $1M a year (which is close to Winston)
Ram, Penning & Peat all have higher cap hits; and Ruiz has a higher base salary

There are still some good posters but there are way more shitty ones. It makes me think we might have the dumbest fanbase in all of sports.

Jesus, the mental midget gymnastics being conducted to explain all the external reasons why Jameis sucks is quite astonishing. Usually football isn't that complicated.
