Players are going to want to play. Coaches have to be able to figure out if thats wise or not.

The Saints, New Orleans, and the NFL are hellbent on proving something with Winston. The defense deserves better than to have to watch him ruin their effort.
If he indeed does have 4 fractured vertebrae, he could be paralyzed with one wrong hit.
