What sucks for Jameis is with Payton leaving he will have yet another OC. This guy has not been able to have any coaching stability. I think he and Payton were connecting and the Saints/Payton environment was really good for him.

Agreed. I really want to see Jameis back in the fold with a full season to prove he can do it

considering it's been 12 weeks and it takes up to 8 to 10 months to fully recover, which do you think it is?

Jameis is still likely the best option and affordable as well
Probably not worth the draft capital you have to give up for Jimmy G
See who is available at your pick in draft but I still think you need to address other areas of the team with the 1 pick and the QB at that point would be a reach

I like Winston now, he's matured a ton I wouldn't mind seeing him back. The saints need to just hire DA already so we can start looking for players

I think there's pretty much only 1 way for certain Pete does stay and that's if Dennis Allen is hired. If we hire anybody from outside, then I think the only way they would want to retain Pete is if the new HC knew we were going to re-sign Winston and he wanted to keep Pete for consistency with Winston. That would also likely mean it would be a defensive HC, because an offensive HC would likely want to install his own offense

There is an elephant in the room when it comes to Carmichael as an OC. Why has no team ever tried to hire him for OC and why has he not desired to want to be an OC?
Lets be real, Payton was the saints OC and Carmichael managed the implementation of the game plans. It was Payton's offensive show. With many new young OC's getting HC jobs and filling their staffs with other OC's it is a sign that something is amiss.

Payton had no confidence in Jameis. He was calling shorter routes and taking the ball out of his hand. Then when Trevor Simien and Hill played, guys were running deep routes and they were throwing deep.

This is just a few of the deep shots. Feel free to watch the other 30-40 yard intermediate throws that are out there. And these are obviously just the completions. Not counting the other numerous "attempts" down the field that didn't convert.
