in place of D'Andre Swift and he was great in that role, more than just a serviceable back. I know because I had him and Swift on my fantasy team the last couple of years, lol. If Kamara plays, then we'll have two RB options we can turn to. But if Kamara is out for a while, we don't have to worry about Williams in the starting role. This is a great move by the Saints and perfect fit for out situation.

We actually have a solid option of allowing Kamara to return to the elite jack role.

And its not like you can't ride Jamaal Williams either, he can handle and give punishment. The issue is csn you be unpredictable offensively

Williams can’t handle the Kamara roll. We need AK to play and have JW be the compliment.

We can’t have him as our full time RB1

Not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying he's a good starting running back, that can also catch passes out of the backfield. He compliments Kamara well as another threat. But the reality is that Kamara's going to face some time out of the line-up and we need to be able to deal with that, he's a good option to have. He can still handle the bulk of the carries, and some pass-catching in that role so teams will have to be prepared to handle that. Of course, we'll have to come up with different offensive approach in games where Kamara will be out.

that's the plan, and its gonna make or break a guy like Pete like its done for our offense in the # of games Kamara has missed these past few years. its always a couple of games.

Kamara's unique ability is him being an edge to edge guy who can create mismatches when he gets into the secondary or makes a guy miss on the edge, gets another 5-6 yards.

His role is not and will never be the north-south bellcow

Except that’s the complete opposite of what he does. Jamaal Williams doesn’t catch passes.

He just didn’t with the lions. He caught a good amount for an RB2 with the packers. Especially considering that’s what Aaron Jones did primarily

Except he's caught 160 passes over 6 years? He only caught 12 last year, but that was scheme I guess. It doesn't mean he can't catch passes since he's clearly averaged more than that over his career. It's not Kamara-level, but he can be targeted 2-4 times/game to keep the defense honest.

This is exactly why they did it. Kamara had way too many carries the last two years.

Sounds like a sarcastic response. I only added it as an anecdote on why i was following his performance on a weekly basis and why I like the move, which is also why I added the 'lol' since, of course, anyone can look back on his performance.

I believe he’s just going to replace Ingram/Murray in the roles they had. Kamara will miss some games and we will end up with a more traditional running game with Hill sprinkled in IMO.

Yeah, definitely upgraded there from last year with this move.

and with all of the RB's in this draft class, adding another back couldn't hurt either.
