Ok. I’ll clarify. Jamaal Williams CAN catch passes. But he is in no way a “pass-catching” back. The saints offense utilizes a pass catching back big time. Williams ain’t that.
CMC has 442 over 6 years
Kamara has 349 over 5 years
Ekeler has 389 over 6 years
Najee Harris has 115 over 2 years
These aren’t what you’d call pass catching backs and they still are way above Williams historical numbers:
Fournette has 312 over 6 years
Barkley has 247 over 5 years
Josh jacobs has 160 over 4 years
Zeke has 305 over 7 years

Ok sure. But that’s not what this offense does. They will have another pass catching RB to fill that hole if Kamara is out. It won’t be solely Williams.
