Jason LaConfora just said on total access that Del Rio could come to NO if Williams leaves. He already owns house in NO.
He may not be much of a head coach, but he knows defense. Thoughts if this were to happen?

I've alway liked the guy and seems to have a good reputation in the NFL despite his slightly above average performance in Jacksonville.

honestly have no clue what to think about this.
He only had 1 season as a coordinator before getting the HC job in Jax.
The defense in Jax under his tenure, usually were solid but I have no clue how much influence he had at that.

I think it would be a good hire...Greg Williams has had alot of top draft picks that he hasn't really developed ....if we had an average offence ,with the Defense that Williams has...we would not be in the playoffs

If we lose GW, I am all for Del Rio...

Spags has an awesome accent like a mobster.

The Jaguars had the 6th ranked defense in the league, fyi

Why would Williams leave?
Rumors swirling that he would follow Fisher wherever he lands.
Personally, if that were to happen it would be due to the Saints informing him that he would not be retained. But that's just speculating on my part

to go to STL with Fischer.
i'd really want either JDR or Spags...would probably prefer Spags because he's awesome but would like both hires!

How good is Spags really? I know he was impressive with the Giants before STL but how much of that was just based on the talent?
I honestly don't know enough about either candidate.

JDR doesn't have the resume that Gregg Williams has.
I'd prefer to keep him.

I know they've coached together before, but is GW THAT buddy-buddy with Fisher to leave Brees and the best offense in the league for Bradford and the Rams? Seems like an awful decision...

Williams is wearing out his welcome in NOLA and I think that is the issue too. His defense, while improved a tad from the beginning of the year is still underperforming giving the players the Saints picked up.
That is a major thing.
