Teddy was apparently sick today (according to CSP's postgame presser)

I'll forgive his performance today on that

He isn't. Teddy Bridgewater will never lead this team to an NFCCG. He is a backup QB. Nothing more. Anyone putting their hopes on a guy who hasn't played in 2 years is delusional. He takes too many sacks to be special.

Taysom proved what he can do and barely ever had a pocket to throw from. Intangibles heavily favor THill.

No. He is a gimmick player. Keep him as the starting QB and he might have a good year because defenses can't focus on just him with our weapons. After teams have a year of film his gimmick is up. He will be another backup QB.

Payton was right about going after Maholmes. He needs to go after Trevor Lawrence or another QB that can be a starter in the draft. If we put our team on the backs of a backup QB, then a SB will be a pipe dream fir another 4 decades at least.

People are going to ignore his shortcomings by talking about it being pre-season or about how he will come into his own once he takes the reins.

Fact of the matter is, he still isn't over his injury mentally.

He holds the ball for too long, looks scared as hell back there, and is inconsistent with his accuracy.

I don't expect our next QB to be on Brees' level, but I do expect leadership and confidence, something Teddy should have in droves considering his experience.

Right now Hill looks the part, looks more confident and more in command of the offense and his throws.

Given the choice, I'm taking Hill to lead this team after Brees leaves, over Teddy.

Maybe, but then why the hell would Payton play a guy who’s sick?

In any case, i think that the old adage ‘If you have two QBs then you have none’ isn’t entirely accurate in our case.. i’m not convinced Brees will hang it up after this year (unless we win the SB), but if he does, then i could see Payton letting Teddy and Taysom battle it out in training camp, may the best man win... Each have their pros and cons; Taysom is much more mobile while Teddy is a statue back there.. but Teddy has experience as a starting QB in the NFL, one year at a Pro Bowl level I believe.. Just let them fight it out.

Unless Teddy gets his shite together mentally, Hill will win that battle.
