What's the word on Greer?

ETA: Lynch is still a beast to tackle. Dang.

I'm dissappointed for sure. There were a couple close calls like the colston fumble which wouldve been a score. The not so sure pass interference call that put them on the one yard line.

It looked alot worse because I, just like everyone, wanted a blowout. If they go 0-4 ill panic. Till then, going undeafeated is rarely an option. So lets just ride it out.

I'll say it.....I miss Porter

With Greer and Patrick out, our secondary was a joke

I was just thinking this. He's made more pass breakups already against Roethlisberger than our entire secondary did against RG3.

He's on the Broncos bro.

Without Greer we struggled, White was just not close enough today in coverage, he only had one good play which was in run support. Patrick going down sealed it. Thankfully Garcon wasn't out there the entire game, because without Greer and Patrick covering receivers & Jenkins blitzing leaving Harper in coverage RG3 might have been tossing bombs down field to people running 10+ yards wide open.

why do coaches do that now? defense should be simple..... go out and hit the guy with the ball.... i get that you have to disguise coverages and blitzes and shite, but god damn.... it's no use to you if you make the assignments so difficult that no one can execute them....

It is hilarious to see how many downers are posting on here since the Saints lost. It's like they come from everywhere too.

I agree with the OP. It's only one game and we have plenty more to go. I'm not getting concerned unless we lose this upcoming week. And I'm still not giving up on their playoff chances if that happens.

Brees was off, I'm not to worried about what happened yesterday. If they come out like that next week then we should worry.

We had too many fundamental issues at hand for this loss to not be a worry. This wasn't a fluke loss, this was a we got whipped in every phase type loss.

kudos to the tard tide fighters. Critique, questions, anquish? Yes! Has the sky fallen and hope lost? NO! It's week by week in the NFL.

added in another thread but will repeat here-

The Giants path to the Lombardi last year was not thought of as shocking or unusual and worth a review...

0-2 first two games by 30-56 score
were at 5-6 after losing to the Saints 24-49.
Did anyone see last year's world champion after that loss?

Exactly

obviously there's a lot of room for improvement, but you have to think the coaching staff learned from this. You h e to be tight on penalties and can't let penalties kill drives. We are at our best when we POUND THE ROCK.

And we only lost by 8 points. If we would have had another minute to two, we still would have had a chance to tie it up. It's not like we were blown out. We played a terrible game and still were in the game at the end. It's not like we lost to ULM or anything.

I'm looking forward to next week.
