I am starting to think he is the guy at 9. I hope he isn't, but the success of Nix in Denver last season and the fact that Pennix and McCarthy allowed their teams to move off their vet after one season makes it more appetizing for a team that obviously doesn't want Carr to be the long term guy.

I also don't think it is a coincidence that Dart has been going in the top 10 of recent mock drafts.

I will not even watch this team next year if they waste their 1st on Dart. That's an absolutely HORRIBLE draft pick of desperation at that point. He will never do anything in the NFL. Anyone with eyes could see that at the college level. Unbelievably average QB who fit well in a Kiffin system and never seemed to play well against a defense with a pulse...at the college level.

Dart led the class in yards and TDs on deep passes as well

Folks aren’t talking enough about Dart’s age vs what he accomplished. Things like his numbers vs pressure is very impressive for a young QB
A reminder of the age disparity among QBs:

Jaxson Dart - 21
Drake Maye - 22
Anthony Richardson - 22
JJ McCarthy - 22
Cam Ward - 22
Shedeur Sanders - 23
Jayden Daniels - 24
Bo Nix - 25
Brock Purdy - 25

It looks like you bet your life. He just has to agree for it to be official.

This is an excellent example of stats do not tell the entire story. I watched Ole Miss quite a bit in college and all I can say is Dart never lived up to expectations. it definitely felt like he way underachieved against good defenses too. Always seemed to disappoint somewhere and had a few big games he did well in.

Age is a good thing to bring up here because that means he still has much room for growth. So, it's possible he can develop more into something. I personally am not sold on him after watching him at Ole Miss.
