Listen, when we have 3rd and short and the play call has 3 wr running deep routes there isnt crap the QB can do. Same thing with red zone plays! No crossing routes..everything hash marks and out.

If you disagree, just watch Carr get into it with Carmichael after the redzone issues...he is telling him to call better plays

ALLEN & CARMICHAEL ARE KILLING US!

It’s both. Carr isn’t a great qb and he’s paired with a shitty OC.

Carr’s great year when he got hurt was the exception not the rule.

You start watching the Saints last year?
The only time Pete called plays was when SP was suspended.

When did this happen? Sean’s suspension year when they sucked? Or maybe when he was out that one game for his knee injury?

Pete sucks and has done nothing but carry Sean’s clip board for years. Why has he never gotten a sniff of a job anywhere else?

the dipshits on this board who have only been a fan since we signed Drew Brees don't understand that we will probably never see another Brees level QB in our lifetime dressing up for the black and gold. They will blame every QB until they bandwagon off to another team like the Bengals.

No worries. Coach Allen already said no need to change anything right now. Besides bench the LT that seemed to be getting better

No Sean Payton. Our offense wasn’t good either in 2012 with Brees. It’s Carmichael.

Saints only had the #2 ranked offense in the NFL in 2012.

Pete also called plays in 2011 when Sean went down with a broken leg

Can't bring up Carmichael calling plays with Brees as a gotcha. That was 10 years ago with Prime Brees. This season, both us and Denver have proven that the league has passed the Payton offense.

We need a better OC. Play calls was terrible. Can we stop with Hill at QB. Everyone knows he is running.

Carmichael has been in charge of the offense for 23 games. In that time, the Saints are scoring an average of 19.1 PPG. In the last 15 games (going back to the midpoint of last season) the saints are scoring an average of 15.3 PPG. In 2023, the Saints are scoring an average of 18.1 PPG.

All of these numbers include non-offensive scores.

Did have a few interviews at one point. The notable one was when Pace was GM and Chicago, had a lot of threads with people worried he would steal Carmichael. Damn, what could have been

Alos, the person you responded to is also forgetting that Brees had a lot of say in the play designs and would routinely throw out plays he didn't like. Doubt Carr has that freedom.

We had one of the best offensive lines in the league.

The line now might be the worst in the league and one of the worst in the history of the league.

I've been Pro Penning since we drafted him. He is AWFUL.

He either has no idea what his assignment is or gets physically dominated on every play

Almost every throw DC makes is off of his back foot because someone is breathing down his neck.

You cannot call plays to push the ball down the field if the line can't keep people off of the QB

Our Issues: #1 O-Line , #2 Carmichael

You can't be serious.

You mean the same genius OC who NEVER once had a serious job interview for a vacant HC spot even though he was involved with one of the best offenses over a span of a decade+?

Carmichael was always Payton's clipboard holder. Nothing more.

You forgot to point out the biggest issue with that post.

Carmichael didn’t calls plays. Payton did.
