Of course we'd want him to prove it for us w/ a 1 yr deal.

Yes.

1 year deal, no reason not to. This is football, he wouldn't be coming here to be a choir boy.

After the Darren Sharper stuff, this team can't bring in a known offender with this much baggage. The football business is about selling tickets and brand image. His impact off the field is not one that this fanbase would tolerate.

how did the Darren Sharper stuff affect the Saints image/brand? We have still been a sell out stadium with a waiting list. Still got prime time games. It's not like DS was still a Saint when all that came out.

trust me. if we signed a Greg Hardy, or had someone on our team Ray Rice'd their spouse... Darren Sharper's name is going to be brought up. He played here 2 years, but is known as Ex-Saint Darren Sharper.

Thankfully there was no TMZ back then! Jesus would have had to release a statement denying them 3 times perhaps...

not a great comparison then. the cowboys seemed to avoid any huge negatives from Hardy. and this story isnt continuing. its been dealt with. IMO, whomever signs Manziel has more negative press than signing Hardy. Just need another story to come along and its forgotten.

RG3 in cleveland and JFF will be better stories than Hardy signing with a team.

Pass.
I like the idea that playing sports is bout developing discipline and character.
Learning how to deal with losing.

I never want to explain to kid fans that we paid some guy millions of dollars to chase the quarterback even though he lacks both of those traits. We have enough examples of talent, or position, or connections allowing people to bypass the consequences without ever having to learn a lesson. I'd rather be 0-16, than hire that bum or any like him.

Let Lt Col Frank Slade tell you about character.
Take a FLAME thrower to this place.

Jerry Jones stands in front of that podium, and takes all the heat. He owns the team, he owns the blame for anything his players does. For some reason people buy it. F him. F Deion Sanders, F Michael Irvin. F Em all! in the A!

We all look at Tom Benson as a bumbling fool. Like a cartoon character cute old man. He couldn't come out and be believable at taking the blame for Drew getting a parking ticket.

I would believe you.

Jordan and Hardy on the edges with Fairley and Jenkins in the middle gives us a top 10 NFL DL.

Our secondary with all the investment back there would shine and we have our best LB corp since the SB.

Add in the draft. Sean could target his go get it no.1 WR early while still plugging in remaining holes at OG and DL.

Our team in 1 year would have bonafide NFL talent top to bottom. With no excuses. It is a very interesting thought to me at least but my moral compass or lack there of may not make me the best guy to ask
