If we drop to 1-4, we can stop kidding ourselves, right?

I honestly think if Dalton starts Sunday, we will win.

But if we dont, its over.

And with Loomis giving away our # 1 in 2023, its going to be really difficult staying interested the rest of the way. And we just started October.

The trade deadline is November 1st.

If it appears the Saints are totally out of it, some contending teams may be willing to part with a 1st round pick for some Saints personnel.

Only guys on the Saints worth a first are Ram, Lattimore, and Olave.

At this point they are all must wins until this team at least gets over .500. But with the way this team is playing, and the low ceiling I would imagine this is a big one because with TB & Atl playing each other, one of those teams will have a 3rd win.

The Saints are closer to a total re-build than they are to being NFC Champs, so, they should proceed accordingly.

The Front Office grossly miscalculated the skill level of this team this season. They figured that that First Round pick would be a late pick in that round. That was a GROSS error, and, IMHO, that will be clear to everyone in January, 2023.

Saints need to promote Jeff Ireland and put him in charge of all player personnel analysis and decisions. Ride or die with Ireland. Loomis is just a Bean Counter, as I've been told MANY times on this August message board, right?

You’re kidding yourself already. What have you seen that gives you optimism this is a winning playoff team?

We were never going to win a playoff game with Winston. We might have made the playoffs. Now that is in doubt.

For what?

Lose out and try to get a competent QB next year

If we lose to Seattle then the season in over. Have you seen the games after this one? It's a murderous schedule.

We need to absolutely win the games we should win, and we need to build some momentum.

But if we lose to Seattle then it's time to start trading players for picks and letting Allen and Co. know they'll be gone after this season.

Yes: 1-3 record, home game, not a great team adds up to yes.

yeah it is.

the run game has shown signs of improvement but where has the big play in the passing game been?

I'm talking about yards after the catch. The explosive plays.

got to have it all on Sunday!

I know the way we've been playing that probably won't happen though.

By just not turning the ball over though we won't be as bad as we appear to be :banghead:

Already in the battle for the #1 pick in the NFL draft so this weekend is an absolute must win.

Drop to 1-4 and the playoffs are out of the question.

Simple as that.

So, Yes.

Must win means your season is over if you lose. So no it's not, but the Saints are the most desperate team in the NFL this week and will play like it.
