They are a completely different team, so they are kind of catching us off guard, but they still don’t look like a team that’ll do much this year.

No. I think we have a few possible scenarios here.

One and the most optimistic is it's week 1 and a lot of guys haven't been there most of the offseason actually practicing. This option means they can improve. Saints aren't known for playing their best games week 1.

Another is the offensive line is terrible and because of that we are pretty much screwed if we can't fix that.

Another is that Dennis Allen is a bad HC and Pete Carmichael is a bad OC.

Most likely scenario is a combination of all these things.

These are pros, so they can always put together great stretches. With that said, they won't maintain it

This is what happens when you have a good offensive coach as a HC vs a defensive one with an OC who didn’t want the job

I would love to think the Falcons are just that good but that doesn't do us any favors having them being this good with also having to face the Bucs twice.

Mariota couldn't even keep his starting job over freaking Fitzpatrick.
