Cool your jets, chief. I know he is the greatest Saint ever, was just trying to see if anyone could make an arguement against it.

I agree with this, this order following Drew.

I dont think people are giving enough credit to how good Roaf was.
He probably ranks higher on the all time list of LTs than Rickey or Drew does at their position

I will say if Brees continues his sucess for a few more years, he is a no doubt #1 Saint ever, but he has only played a few years. If you are putting together an entire body of work, it is hard not to put Ricky Jackson in that mix.

Not to hate on Ricky Jackson, but how many super bowls did the Saints win while he was on the team? Did he win Super Bowl MVP in those imaginary titles? Was he ever in the conversation for NFL MVP?
Drew's body of work is better than any other Saint ever, despite the fact that he's only been here "a few years."

Thomas Aquinas may give him a run for his money.
That makes you a bonafide Saintard!
It's Saint Nicholas, and it ain't even close.

quote:see this kinda of stuff makes me laugh, people don't realize what a beast this guy was, constantly double teamed and still got the QB, the only problem is he played at the same LT did, if Jackson played in NY(let's say for the Jets) he would be just as big as LT.

Jackson was so feared on that strong side, that he created Pat Swilling you might say, Swilling could rush the QB all day because they were so afraid of Jackson. And as for the did they win a SB during his time, he can't help it if the Saints had a terrible offense back then, but he did win a SB.

Saying that Archie Manning is crap because they never won is like saying that Pete Maravich sucked because LSU never made the NCAA toruney.

Brees is the greatest of all-time. period.
Re: Archie...
Are you an idiot???
In 1972 he led the league in pass attempts and completions, and led the National Football Conference in passing yards, though the team's record was only 2–11–1. In 1978, he was named the NFC Player Of The Year by UPI after leading the Saints to a 7–9 record. That same year, Archie was also named All-NFC by both the UPI and The Sporting News.
Manning was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1978 and 1979.

and oh yeah they went 2-11-1 the question was the greatest Saint ever fricktard.

P.S. 7–9 is still a losing record
He did nothing for Saints.
