He would be a reach at 15. Hopefully we can get that second round pick.

Wonder if we can swap our 3 for jets 2 #39 for Chris ivory, not gaining a pick but a significant upgrade.

Sounds plausible as I heard a report that the jets did not want to lose a pic in a Ivory deal.

Posted by SpqrTiger I think he will be available in round three. I don't see the Saints trading up to take him.

No way he lasts to the 3rd

The Saints could maneuver easily to get him without the #15 pick in the equation. Giving up #109 could jump you all the way to #62 at the end of the 2nd Rd. Giving up #144 could move ya up about seven spots to #68. A little bit more of the same if a Jets 4th or 5th Rder was acquired for Ivory.

Please, let this happen!

I'd believe this, they're obviously interested in him with all the resources they've allocated to scouting him and interviewing him in person and stuff like that.

Same with Brandon Williams. If he's there in the 3rd I will be astounded if they don't take him.

A number of posters on here have SR accounts, including THRILLHO. Both OP's could be the same person.

I would much rather trading back and getting him than taking Mingo at 15. I hope your friend is correct.

Maybe if we get a third round selection from the Jets we package it with another draft pick of ours like a third or fourth to try and move into the second. Perhaps making a trade with a team like the Bengals who have 2 selections in the first 64.

we should have no reason to believe otherwise then I'm pretty certain that we wouldn't be paying Collins this much attention if we didn't already have a defined plan worked out rather than the Madden-esque conjectural scenario I've just laid out above

He didn't just copy/paste the OP's post. He copied another guy's reply further down in the thread.

I don't really care, I just think its hilarious. Rabble rabble Saintsreport until a juicy rumor comes through then just pretend SR doesn't exist (a good rule of thumb anyway, tbh).

Edit: lol, now its just getting ridiculous. If you're going to copy/paste SR, at least have the balls to admit it.

I hope we could do that good.

Jets #39 (510pts) minus Saints #74 (215pts)= giving Ivory for (295pts) #61, the 29th pick in the 2nd Rd

At #39 you could possibly get someone about like-
Jesse Williams NT
John Jenkins NT
Johnathan Hankins NT
Matt Elam S
Jonathan Cyprien S
Alex Okafor OLB
Damontre Moore OLB
Terron Armstead OT
Menelik Watson OT
Reid Fragel OT

that's a considerable step change up in talent over #75 comparables-
Benny Logan NT
Brandon Williams NT
Bacarri Rambo S
Phillip Thomas S
Shamarko Thomas S
Brandon Jenkins OLB
David Bahktiari OT
Oday Aboushi OT
Chris Faulk OT
