By all means, do a thorough job vetting and interviewing candidates, but if Rizzi is hired, I'm okay with it so far.

He is Ed Orgeron--better than the head coach, but would not get it done long term (except I know Ed did because he caught lightning in a bottle). Carr is not Burrow

I don't think he gets hired, but it is easier to be an Ed O type in the NFL than NCAA.

Personally, I kinda hope it's Ben Johnson.

I’m pretty sure everyone is on this boat.

Outside of the hiring process, it pisses me off to no fricking end knowing we could be in the 7-4, 6-5 area if we’d just fired that fricking twat after he apologized to Atlanta.

They sort of sound alike as well...

You can't understand either one.

After seeing a coach that’s been uninspiring, no energy, and apologetic it’s nice to see some fire on the sidelines. I’ll give Rizzi kudos for that

The problem with this logic is all we’ve heard is “Rizzi is doing the same things he’s always done”

Rizzi has been on the staff, rah rahing it up, and we’ve sucked.

What is it that people think he’s done in 2 weeks that is some sort of organizational overhaul.

The team is playing up because change sometimes gasses people up for a short while.

We have to lock Rizzi up soon. Teams are going to start knocking on his door.

DA won 2 in a row too.

Thats a bad way to analyze the coach, given that its 2 weeks.

What are some things you see DR doing the last 2 weeks, that he wasnt doing the previous 7, that has lead to wins?

ben johnson would be the biggest homerun, but everybody wants him.

i dont think BJ has ANY interest in coming here. Let me state that first.

BUT

One of the reasons for winning games, that no one talks about, is that a coaching candidate might look at an opening for a team that has shown it can win might be more appealing

If you can't get your guy I'm ok with giving him a 1 year prove it deal. Easy to terminate if things go south

Coach Zero was a proven loser. Worst coach at Ole Miss since integration.

Lol you mean when hes had full offseason to prepare to be a head coach? Comparing what Rizzi has done on the fly to DA winning random two games as a full time coach is not remotely comparable.

Hes brought an extremely better connection with the players. Hes aggressive- for better or worse. But at least players know that. He has the team playing hard winning football. Hes made changes to how they practice, communicating with the leaders, and shift the momentum of the season.

If you can’t see these are big things- I don’t know what to tell you.
