Can’t blame injuries on defense. And it has become a complete shitshow. Entire defensive line has been healthy and the corners.
Two most important areas on that side of the ball.
This needs to be his last year. Hes one of the worse head coaches in the league. Every game we are starting at a disadvantage.

A bad season from a good coach, nbd. Happens. You ride with it because you know his potential.
Multiple bad seasons and lackluster ones, now marred by injury is no excuse

Poor ole Dennis Allen, dude makes 3.5 million dollars a year. Every coach in football deals with injured players. Dan Campbell didn’t throw in the towel when Hutchinson broke his leg. Next man up, and if next man up can’t cut it, cut him and find someone who can. DA gets up at press conference and says we have a bunch of injuries, then says that’s not an excuse. Sounded like an excuse to me.

I want DA gone and burn it down totally from top to bottom. We have a complete lack of backup talent and that is DA’s and Micky’s fault so they both gotta go. Do the Saints have excessive injuries; sure they do but our backups are terrible.

They also lost their all pro…wait for it…..center….. for a bit. And didn’t completely collapse.

It would be more comparable if the lions then lost their next 2 centers and both guards.

The Eagles game happened, though. We were exposedand either had no counterpunch or, later on, injuries made a counterpunch impossible.

If we had the eagles game over, I'd hope we would keep Patrick at guard. When McCoy went down, we essentially lost our center and guard bc Patrick sucks at center.

Our defense is horrible with minor injuries. He hired the coaches..

The Saints have had alot of injuries for years and ML does nothing
about the S@C staff. These soft tissue problems can be avoided with the
proper strenght and stretching exercises.

The management described future HOF coach should have been able to manufacture a couple of wins during the five game losing streak regardless of injuries.
Other great coaches are able to ride the tide of bad luck or injuries. DA is unable to consistently win games even when the team is relatively healthy.
DA’s poor red zone decisions and endgame decisions costs the Saints a few victories last season. He is simply subpar and not a leader of men.

What's this? Someone trying to post logic on a forum full of GMs, coaches, owners, trainers, talent evaluators.

You’re not wrong but the timing just lines up. Getting rid of Allen even if the injuries are most of the reason for this season’s failures is the right move for the long term. Allen isn’t going to be the coach this team needs and better to do it after a disastrous season than one where the team is flirting with getting into the playoffs.
But Honestly Loomis should also shoulder most of the blame for the weak roster and little depth. But we all know he’s not going anywhere until he decides to go so probably not even worth lamenting.

I am not. Allen can't field a good D. He needs to be gone.

Andy Reid says 'Hi'.
Joking aside, nobody would equate Allen and Reid. But it IS possible to be successful with a massive number of injuries, as long as your coaching staff is able to use the available players to their maximum potential.

Injuries DO matter, but the Saints did it to themselves, trading away draft picks instead of building depth. Is Ireland still with the team?' I'd thought the drafting had gotten better when he came on board. Maybe give Mueller the controls.

Multiple things can be true. Allen isn’t a good head coach AND no coach in the league could win with what we have on the field right now.
Allen doesn’t get a pass for his defense though, which isn’t nearly as beat up as the offense.
Ding, ding, we have a winner!!

As you said, no one would rightly compare Reid with Allen. But if you think KC's injuries are in the same stratosphere as the Saints, you're not paying attention. .
