Would you choose 25 TD’s and 5 INT’s or 40 TD’s and 15 INT’s?

I think I would choose 25 TD’s and 5 INT’s. Ball control and protecting the football will be critical this year with the great defense we’re gonna have. This style would assist and complement our defense more and also produce fewer momentum swings in games.

I know ball control is nice and all, but 40 TDs/15 INTs tells me our receivers are doing work and that makes me pretty happy after the shite we went through last year.

he is the same guy he has always been, he will force balls and turn it over, a lot, Andy Dalton will be starting by years end and next year we will be searching for a QB

they have a good defense so i thing they manage 8-9 or maybe 9-8 but dont go thinking your fandom or wish casting will change the reality

I would definitely choose the 25 TD route. Mainly because our defense should be able to keep most, if not all opponents under 21 points a game, AND force turnovers which gives us more TOP. Take a sack, throw the ball away, just don't turn it over and give them more chances to put points on the board.

On the other hand, 40 TDs is a nice cushion vs field goals. So you're talking about another 5 points a game which depending on who you're playing, could be the difference between a W or a L.

All I want to see is balance. Run/Pass and protection plus defense puts us easily over 10 wins for the season. With the upgrade to both sides of the ball, I could see a 12-5 or 13-4 record, taking the NFC South.

I don't understand this logic. Even IF Jameis comes out and forces balls, we still have a top 3, if not the best defense in the league.

Holding opponents to under 21, or 17 points a game allows our offense to control time of possession and with Landry, Olave, Thomas, Harris and Kamara, I can't imagine us scoring less than 21 or more a game.

40/15

With a stout defense, I'd rather the additional 15 TD's and like our chances of preventing our opponents from scoring the additional 10 possessions.

Worst case scenario, we come out 5 TD's ahead if the opponents score a TD on all 10 additional INT's.

Not fair to count on the defense to win every game. They will be gassed at the end of the year.

We will have to score to win at some point(s). Gimme 40/15.

And you would be wrong in picking that from a pure mathematical standpoint.

15 tds with xps adds a little over 6ppg for Jameis. You would have to assume some of those picks would lead to scores, but not enough to make up 6ppg.

Rams bucs and cowboys were only 3 teams in the league with 40 passing tds last year.
Brady and Stafford only individual qbs with 40.

40/15 is a no brainer.
Especially with the saints defense.
And just on an entertainment level after the atrocity that was the saints offense last season.

Please explain how this is true since Winston came to New Orleans? I don't remember many forced balls last year other than maybe 1 and the time the olineman stepped on him. I do remember him dropping deep dimes for tds to random wide receivers

40/15 and it’s not even close.

15 additional TDs is a large net win over the extra 10 interceptions of which the result is unknown.

So you are saying that despite the fact that he hasn't looked that way since he got to NOLA we should still expect him to be a turnover machine?

Kinda of like if you ever stated posting positive stuff we should know you'll be right back to posting negative drivell shortly?

You take the 40TD. Even if every INT were to result in an opponent TD it’s still a net gain.

I would choose 40/15 because our defense will be incredible. 15 interceptions ain’t crap if the opposing offense isn’t able to do anything with it.

I think a lot of you are forgetting a big factor. Interceptions and other turnovers can shift momentum in a game. That’s why the 40 TD’s with 15 INT’s can have a downside actually.

Just look at the catch and fumble by Jared Cook that ruined the game against the Buccaneers two years ago.

The defense may be really good, but holding all opponents to less than 21 in today’s NFL is just not possible.
