If we had an option for a future QB out of Watson, Darnold, or Stafford....

Who would you want as a fan?
Personally, I would take Watson. But I think we could get Darnold for cheap, and Stafford would fit in the system even though he’s a little older.

If the Saints are really %70 million over the cap next year.
Darnold would be the only one we could afford. makes less than a million in base each of the next two years.
Watson makes $35MM in base salary in 2022, owed $37 MM the following season.

Watson. Not even a discussion. Any reasonable ask Houston would have for him that we could feasibly put together in terms of an offer is one we should consider if he was available and they were willing to deal him to us.
