If Jets keep TrevorL, Saints should consider getting Darnold from them.

We got Teddy cheap. We got Winston cheap. So if he's cheap...sure why not.

But paying with picks or a high dollar amount no way.

Darnold or Tua if one of them becomes available due to them drafting Trevor.

4th rounder, sure.
Even if not starter quality he can be a serviceable backup.

Darnold has the pedigree and talent, and I'd absolutely trade a Day 3 pick for him.

That said, I think a team would part with a 2nd or 3rd for him, and he's shown flashes that he can be a QB in this league and will get the benefit of the doubt from being on the Jets

Is no one curious.....at all, about how Winston would do in this offense, especially after lasik?

this board kind of amazes me

Winston who's actually done things in the league "frick no we don't want him" will then turn around wanting Darnold who's career accomplishments are at about 0. His whole career, college and pros, has been "yeah he kind of sucks....but man he's got potential" His draft pedigree and HS star rating mean nothing at this point.

That image last season of Darnold totally lost and confused, I don't want him.
I don't even think Payton could help him.

Will Saints have similar issues that Pats have with Brady moving on? They will take a cap hit because of Brees retiring.

I don’t hold anything against Darnold. He isn’t working with a professional coach or professional offensive weapons.

Darnold is injury prone isn't he?

I honestly think he’s already damaged goods and that’s no fault of his own. Sad what incompetent franchises can do to these young guys

Definitely curious and would love to see what he can do. However, considering the cap hit and expected lower cap numbers for 2021, it may take some serious Loomising to keep him here.

I actually am hoping to see him play a game or two if we lock up #1 seed or can’t improve our seeding the last game...

Payton is the QB whisperer so if Darnold is cheap but Tua? No way he will be available

Not really. The whole "Eat a W" deal after the win kind of solidified that he will always be a dbag. Reminds me of Cam N. I don't think they are good leaders.

Darnold has had some good games as a young QB even with their terrible coaching and overall team management.
