Do we cave and bring him back or is it time to follow the Favre route? I could see Drew in Indy as a stopgap. Personally I couldn't take another year of bowing out in the playoffs due to the noodle.

Going to be tough for Drew to go 1 more year with a torn rotator cuff

If he’s able to rehab a torn rotator cuff then I’d be okay with it. I don’t see a 42 y/o QB who’s had a history of shoulder issues coming back from that

Wouldn't it be cheaper to dump him this offseason than to keep him? Don't see the point, especially with the salary cap getting smaller.

It’s obviously not a terrible tear if he played with it. If he can rehab it or repair close to 100%, then let’s see what he has left. Maybe his arm will get stronger? Maybe it’ll get weaker? Maybe he’ll just say frick it and retire? I don’t know what I’m trying to say and I’m just rambling now.

I don’t think the questions are about our offense. I think we’re talented enough to play with anybody no matter who’s at QB. It’s the defensive side of the ball we’re gonna be screwed on. We just can’t pay anyone

No it's time to move on. I think Brees was physically done after 2018 but he's willed himself through the last two seasons despite his body failing him late in the year.

If he took a massive pay cut and was the backup, sure. I like Brees, but he’s done.

His cap hit is outrageous if he comes back. I think I saw $35 million. I think the cap hell the Saints are in is a reason he won’t be back. He knows this was his last shot with this team. Too many pieces to replace unless they work on contracts and perform a little magic.

He'll go to NE, throw for 6k yards and win a ring. And this board will implode.

A) He should retire, he's got nothing to prove to anybody, enjoy your retirement and stop taking punishment to your body
B) Saints should not bring him back. Lack of arm strength for 4 years now, getting older and hurt the last 2 years. It's time for us to move. If we bring him back we'll be facing the same playoff fate again with the offense being our downfall because playoff defenses are easy to gameplan for a 25 yard offense. Thanks for your service and everything you've done for our city and franchise, but it's time.

His arm strength was not a problem in 2017 or 2018

He really does. It’s over. I appreciate his time here and the SB. We need to move on .Don’t want a Brett Favre situation
