Dude is a beast. I’m hoping he pulls a Mark Ingram and suddenly gets highly durable

Thought Davenport was 7 firsts??
And Henrickson was a 7th.

Those are called QB pressures. They're also a stat & very important as well. QB pressures can lead to throw aways, incompletions, & interceptions. You say it like it's a bad thing.

So what does Davenport actually do because he doesn't get many sacks or tackles. Take away TB game last year and look at his sacks and solo tackles. Other 4-3 De make tackles why doesn't MD. He is a combine HOF but is just a NFL role player. 90% of NFL fans have no clue who MD plays for

He had 6 sacks last year playing 13 games and was banged up much of the year.

That’s not nothing. His production doesn’t concern me as much as his durability

He only plays about half the snaps also (averaging 35 a game over his 29 games played; most games will have about 60-70 snaps on either side of the ball).

When looking at it in that light and projecting out, he may have had 12-15 sacks last year if he played 16 games and the majority of the snaps like Jordan does.

But he is getting back on track now and played 64% of the snaps last game. I expect that trend to continue now that he's a few games back from injury. He'll likely see between 2/3rds to 3/4ths of the snaps each week (especially if he keeps up the level he's on).

He had more rookie season sacks than any Saint not named Will Smith and he didn’t play all 16 games. He’s a beast whether you want to admit it or not. He just has to stay on the field.

After the Senior Bowl, many compared Davenport to another fast-rising big-framed athletic edge-rusher, Ziggy Ansah.

And it also took 3 years for Ziggy to finally blow up (14.5 sacks, 4 FF, 39 tkl). He remained a force when healthy but he consistently dealt with nagging injuries.

Davenport is getting a pressure on 19% of this pass rush snaps

Conversely, Cam Jordan gets a pressure on 11% of his pass rush snaps

If you think he been a successful pick rhen you have no clue about football. Yes he is a beast but he hasn't been a beast on the field. 97% of nfl fans have no clue wtf he is because he is just a role player. Last year take away TB game he had 3 in 12 games. Thats not a beast!!
