I thought signing Peterson would rejuvenate our running game

But really all this crowded backfield has done is been a crutch to our rushing attack because nobody can get into a rhythm.

There's a reason why no one jumped to throw money at him during the off season and the Saints only paid $3.5M in guaranteed money for him over 2 years.

They COULD get into a rhythm, but CSP won't let them.
I'm almost happy it's happening.
Now people can't insult Ingram without insulting their god AP.
They're realizing it's the blocking and the playcalling that's the actual problem.

Honestly the problem with this is that we haven't been in a game long enough to run the ball yet. I feel like if we could just get a lead we'd see the best from Peterson.

No another useless signing by our dumbass coach and gm

Saints FO got AP for only one reason: sell tickets.

MI had 1K yards at 5 per rush last year. Why even bring in AP?

He looks good sitting on the bench.

They need to just designate Peterson and Ingram drives with Kamara spelling. Pulling either of them in and out is silly across the same drive.

Just like Ted Ginn saved the pass offense

Have an up vote sir. Sane, rational (actually, adult-like) posts are extremely rare these days.

Yeah it's like we drafted from an old copy of Madden. Let's get Peterson, Ginn Jr. Who else?!

AP needs carries to get his rhythms moving. Always better second half after 15-20 touches. Every time he goes in, he gets the ball. One play action to him in 2 games. Think the D knows that?
Kamara is a keeper. Treed either Ingram or Peterson, for their good & the Saints good.

In 17 years as OC or HC, SP has had just three 1000 yard rushers. He's never been a ground & pound play-caller.
Guys that need 20+ carries to flourish like Peterson or Fournette don't fit his system.
Ideally, a Marshall Faulk or McCoy is the perfect combo back for SP.
But he's settled for RBC role players to make his system go: ex. electric Bush to catch, Bell to pound/slash, and Thomas an effective poor man's combo back.
This year he has a 20+ carry needy bruiser in AD, an average combo back in Ingram, and rookie in Kamara that actually fits SP's system which is why he has gotten more snaps than the veteran backs.

Maybe I'm wrong but Peterson doesn't look so good. Looked really slow on that 4th down toss play
Posted on 9/17/17 at 6:06 pm to RagingCajun3195
They are not using him enough.

Drafting Kamara and signing AP was a mistake. Too many toys for Sean

Until we take a serious, effective, and efficient look at our OL we will never be squat. That's where it starts, that's where it ends.
