I think we’re going to land Deshaun. Our QB.

Yep.

Loomis knows he’s going to recoup a first or two for Payton next season

Just hope we can somewhat keep the defense intact. I've saw Davenport as part of the deal. Losing Williams and Davenport would be a pretty big blow to our D. If Davenport and other key players are required plus picks, man, I'm not sure we'll be a real contender for a year or 2

Man, getting picks back for Payton is a great point to remember. That recoups a nice chunk

I get you, but if you get that chance for a 10+ already proven NFL QB … you have to imo.

Loomis should sell his rights to Dallas this year.

I have no sauces. I just think our FO is going to make it happen. If you’re a Saints fan and don’t want DW as your QB for the next 10+ then okay.

In no way do you trade for an all pro QB and trade away his all-pro RT or his pro bowl caliber center. I’d rather just give the 3 firsts. This team can get by and still add quality players with 2nd and 3rd round picks as this team doesn’t have many gaping holes besides WR which this draft is strongest in at the pick 50-120 range. Give them 3 firsts, next year then skip a year and give them 2024 and 2025 along with giving them 2023’s 3 rounder. That’s 3 1sts in 4 years and a 3rd. Houston gets a major haul to re hold it’s depleted roster with and we get our franchise QB with still enough draft capital left as long as we are smart and a little lucky with who we pick.

The Texans still want a package of three first-round draft picks, other draft capital, and players in exchange for Watson. One player that sources predict would be part of a potential Saints trade is offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk. Offensive guard Cesar Ruiz is highly regarded in NFL circles for his toughness and blocking skills, per sources.

Defensive end Marcus Davenport, defensive tackle David Onyemata and center Erik McCoy are other logical players that bear watching in a potential trade, sources said.

Geez would we have anyone left to play with Watson if we traded 3-1s and a couple of these blue chip players?

Cap wise, we cannot trade Ramczyk. The cap hit would make it nearly impossible to fit Watson and/or any other players. Ruiz and/or Davenport are more realistic.

Maybe if we trade Payton we could get a couple of firsts back? Not sure he will coach that soon or not.

Three 1sts, Ruiz & Onyemata for Watson & a 5th.

I'm already on board with that. If Loomis knows/believes that Payton will come back before his contract is up and he can trade him and get picks, then this is a no brainer

Christ, if this were actually accurate and acceptable to Houston we would be making out like bandits.
