against the Raiders. I though they had a secret "players only" meeting to get shite straight and the leadership would emerge and DA would right the ship...

the Raiders are just that bad.

at least we got a shutout but that'll probably be the last one we get for quite some time.

I was hoping to win last night of course, but wasn’t overconfident going in. But I didn’t expect to play like complete shite after last weeks game. Disappointed is an understatement.

Maybe they did turn the corner. Maybe the saints are finally a team that can beat the bad teams, but will look like they did last night against the top teams. Thankfully, they’re in the NFC and will have games against more bad teams than good.

With an 11-34 NFL all time NFL record coach, and the 3-6 improved his percentage. I’d lose any expectation of turning a corner. The question is when will he be fired.

even during the payton down years, we had a random shutout game that we thought turned the corner...

Even those bad record breaking defenses from those 7-9 teams in 2014-16 occasionally had good games

History dictates roller coaster play. Seems after a flawless big win they come out flat the following week.

It’s a confluence of factors.

1) Saints had a bad Thursday night performance and wanted to rebound.
2) Saints had a few extra days to rest and game plan.
3) Raiders suck!
4) Saints see results of Raiders game and become satisfied with performance.
5) Ravens have 4 extra days to rest up and plan.
6) Ravens are a really good team.
7) Ravens are a bad matchup for Saints.

I’m interested to see what happens on Sunday against the Steelers. They are a bad team but we have one less day to prepare, they are coming off a bye and they are at home. I think this game will tell us a lot about Dennis Allen’s impact and future with the team.

They did turn the corner but they took a left instead of a right.
How do you beat the Ravens or any other team?
You keep the ball out of their hands and for that matter their best players hands(Lamar Jackson). You do that by putting the ball in your top performers hands (Alvin Kamara)
(Taysom Hill). Instead of turning the corner we took a left.
VS the Ravens Kamara 9 rush att. 4 pass tgt. 3 rec.
VS the Ravens Hill 1 rush att. 1 pass tgt. 0 rec.
1 pass att. 13 yds.
VS the Ravens Saints top. 22 min. Ravens 37 min.
Number of Off. plays Saints 35 Ravens 52
Score: Ravens 27 Saints 13

VS the Raiders Kamara 18 rush att 62 yd 10 tgt 9 rec.
96 yds.
VS the Raiders 10 rush att 61 yd 1 rec 11yd
Saints top 34 min Raiders 25 mim
Saints off plays 63 Raiders 52
Score: Saints 24 Raiders 0
Lamar Jackson had 33 opportunities to run the ball or throw a pass. Our 2 best offensive players had their hands on the ball a total of 16 times.
