Exactly. In the rebuilding year after you lose the face of your franchise at least he has a potentially high ceiling. It seems like half the board would rather some journeyman cheese dick who couldn’t throw for 300 yards if his life depended on it.

Who cares what organization he used to play for? Especially when you know that Brees played for the Chargers before he came to the Saints. Their QB rating was similar when they were with the teams they played for first. I’m not trying to say Winston is better. I love what Brees did for the Saints and he will always be the qb I compare any future Saint qb to. I’m just choosing to be optimistic where Winston is concerned. He certainly looked more decisive and quicker mentally than I’ve ever seen him. It’s only one game but maybe sitting and getting his eyes fixed has changed him a bit. Time will tell. I hope he keeps improving.

Drew Brees had 51 games during his career here where he threw 2 or more INT’s. I don’t know why the first time Jameis does it is supposed to be the tell all sign that he’s not the guy.
