Pretty much coincided with the end of the Payton/brees era

Not buying anything you said. Detroit always had a crappy owner and look where they are. A culture change is the answer. Loomis is nothing more than a corporate accountant that balances budgets and a check book. He doesn't draft well, overpays players, and holds on to the past results like a security blanket. He needs to go.

Unfortunately we were in the same division as the San Fran dynasty era.

In the Spirit of Christmas, I give you your point. Those were some good Saints teams that happened to be in the same Division as one of the greatest NFL Dynasties - Joe Montana's SF 49'ers.

Merry Saints-mas!

Troy was trying to be nice as possible. Any NFL coach knows it's dumpster fire.

We’re the #31 market. We can’t bitch about the owner that much, we’re lucky to have a team.

Green Bay and Buffalo are smaller. Both playoff teams.

The Saints and Pelicans are the top teams in their respective sports that are wished to move somewhere else… that’s why I said that

Milwaukee and Toronto/Rochester are all within 2 hour drive to their stadiums. By TV viewers we are the worst of the worst for NFL market size.

If that is indeed the case, then there is no longer any reason for supporting them. Why would anyone willingly support stupidity that leads to constant failure? Everyone needs to find another team to support until Gayle dies and we get an owner smart enough to fire Mickey.

Plus Green Bay fights for the market share with the Bears and Vikings. And Buffalo fights for market share with the Steelers, Jets, and Giañts. The Saints don't share their market nearly as much, except for N. La. With the Cowboys.

Part of that is Geography. Instead of having one mega market like some areas, we have several smaller markets due to geopolitical
reasons.

But if you look at those ratings when the saints were popping, those market numbers would show strong ratings in a small market where over half of the viewers are watching the Saints game. If you look at some bigger markets like LA, the NFL may not always be the number one program in the market. Soccer takes a significant TV viewership in some areas.
