How would you feel about trading up for Murray?

So I read an interesting article on ESPN this morning. They talked about the saints moving up to draft Murray. They made some good points about Payton's interest in mahomes and mayfield. He would be able to sit a year behind Brees. Also he won't be an early first because of his height alone so trading up for him wouldn't be impossible. I'm torn on it because I'm not sure how much that 2 inch difference from brees would matter. Is he too short to play the quarterback position in the NFL? One thing we can't deny is his arm talent. Just curious how everybody else would feel about this? I think this would also ensure Payton is here for a very long time.

Honest question. Could he ever be a pocket passer given his height? I saw him rolling out a lot in college. I honestly don't think he'd be able to see over some of the taller lineman.

He's legitimate 3-4 inches shorter than Drew

Just google'd his height, there is no chance he is 5-11. I'd give him 5-9' max if that

What happens if he decides he’s not cut out for the nfl after a few years and goes back to baseball. Way to many concerns for a 5’9 qb who has the option to fall back on baseball.

No. Trevor Lawrence or FA until we can draft a good one.

Also there’s this whole “Cardinals might draft Murray” thing going on right now. Odds of that happening? Next to none but the rumors are out there. No way we’d give up our present assets and sacrifice the window with Brees to move up to #1 overall.

If he decides to fall back on baseball its because he sucks in the NFL which I wouldn't imagine us being mad that he's leaving and saving us cap space.

Very Sick to my stomach

He is 5'8somthing and tiny hands. Why even try? Suck it up until Lawrence is coming out and then make that happen.

Sounds like FA after Brees. We won’t be in the area code to draft that guy.

I'd be ok with it but we don't have the draft capital. I think he actually has a shot to go 1 overall

There is a 0.0000000% chance the cardinals draft murray. He will be a mid to late first round pick.

They already made statement saying Rosen is their guy.

His combine stats are going to be more popular than the annual leaked Wonderlic scores.

It would take way too much collateral to trade up for him

If you don't think Kingsbury is eyeing him to start his time with that franchise you're nuts. Of course Rosen is their guy, until the draft.

Draft Murray, trade Rosen to get more weapons. That's what I'd do.
